Iran’s feature film ‘Untimely’ is set to take part at the LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival in Italy.
‘Untimely’, directed by Pouya Eshtehardi, will be screened in the Italian festival’s Human Rights section next month.
The film is about a Baloch young man named Hamin, who is performing his military service at the Iranian border with Pakistan.
According to a synopsis for the film, Hamin took a day off to attend his sister’s wedding, but his vacation was cancelled after he was caught smoking cigarette. While standing guard on the watchtower, he reviewed the past years and the things that happened to him and his sister since their childhood.
Hamin in Balochi means the heat of summer.
Iman Afshar, Shayan Afshar, Ayoub Afshar, Mahsa Narouei, Awa Azarpira, and Mousa Afshar have appeared in the film along with a number of artists from the Iranian city of Chabahar.
The 2020 edition of LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival will take place on September 19-27.
